This Privacy Policy explains how Olympia House collects and uses personal data when you visit olympiahouse.gr or contact us. We collect as little data as possible and we never sell it.

The data controller is Olympia House, Calavri, Vathy, 283 00 Ithaca, Greece.

What data we collect
When you contact us
When you use the contact form, send us an email or call us, we receive the details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred dates and your message. We use them only to answer your request and to arrange your stay.
Legal basis: steps prior to a contract at your request and our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
When you book through a booking platform
If you book through Booking.com or another platform, that platform is responsible for the data it collects. We receive only the details needed for your stay. Please read the privacy policy of the platform you use.
When you browse the website
Our hosting server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the date and time of your visit. This data is needed to deliver the website and to protect it from attacks, and it is deleted automatically after a short period.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and statistics
We use only the cookies the website needs to work, unless you give your consent for more. With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, in aggregated form. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Maps
Some pages show a Google Maps map. The map loads only after you accept the relevant cookies, because Google then receives data such as your IP address.
Fonts
The fonts of the website are hosted on our own server. No data is sent to Google Fonts.
Who receives your data
We share data only with the service providers we need to run the website and our business:
- our hosting provider in Greece, which stores the website and the emails sent through it;
- Google (Analytics and Maps), only with your consent;
- Wordfence, our security service, which checks visits for attacks.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case the transfer is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
We keep messages and booking details only as long as we need them to answer you and to provide your stay, and afterwards only as long as Greek tax law requires. Statistics data in Google Analytics is kept for a maximum of 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at tmanolatos@gmail.com.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
