A short drive away you can swim at Dexa, Loutsa, Skinos or Filiatro, stroll along the harbour of Vathy with its tavernas and cafés, admire the islet of Lazaretto in the bay or visit the Cave of the Nymphs, where according to Homer Odysseus hid his treasures.
Further north are the villages of Stavros, Anogi, Frikes and Kioni and the beaches of Polis and Afales, perfect for a day trip by car or by boat.
